Qualifications
Sadly this is not a topic that is often considered when you join a gym, we take if on face value that people know what they're talking about. But it is important!
Why does it matter?
There are loads of reasons holding the right qualifications are important but to keep it simple we are just going to focus on one. This is not to say that holding specific qualifications makes you a good coach, because there is more to it than that! However at a very basic level we should consider it in relation to defining the scope of practice.
All to often do we see people working outside of there scope or practice and it leading, at best, to members not achieving their goals. More often than not sadly it leads to an entirely preventable injury.
At Hope we take pride in saying our coaching staff hold a wealth of qualifications across a broad spectrum of disciplines but we also have extensive experience using them.
